Joined as employee #7 and helped build Liquid Web into a 450-person managed hosting company over 13 years. Rose from Network Engineer to COO. Built recruiting pipelines, management structures, support teams, and compliance programs. Multiple-time Inc. 5000 fastest-growing company. Sold for $225M to Madison Dearborn Partners in 2015.

Three Facilities From Scratch

Designed and built 3 data centers at Liquid Web - hand-drew every floor plan, designed complete power chains from utility feed through switchgear, UPS, and PDUs to the rack. Managed construction of an $80M ground-up facility including coordinating a dedicated electrical substation with the utility provider.

Highest Capacity Network in Lansing, MI

Designed and operated the complete network infrastructure for a rapidly growing hosting company over 13 years. Scaled from a single upstream connection to the highest capacity network in Lansing, Michigan. BGP full routing tables, DWDM fiber rings, Internet Exchange peering, and enterprise DDoS mitigation. Found dark fiber providers, negotiated IRU contracts, and built connectivity to major interconnection points.

Power Gauge Pro - Digital Dash

Founded and built an aftermarket automotive digital dash concept. Custom carrier board with NXP iMX8MP processor, 12.3" capacitive touch display, C++/Qt6 application on Yocto Linux, ESP32 sensor modules, and a PHP/Laravel/React online marketplace. Every layer designed or integrated in-house.

Self-taught MIG and TIG welding. Rebuilt diesel engines. Designed and built an electric-over-hydraulic rear steer system. Custom components from sheet metal to precision machined parts.

Personally built residential and commercial projects through the entire process - design in CAD, permits, rough carpentry, electrical, plumbing, insulation, drywall, flooring, and finish work. Projects include a 30x56 pole barn, full basement renovation, and a back deck.
